GA 2024 Program Proposals Due January 12
The countdown is on – the deadline for program proposals for GA 2024 is just around the corner! We’re extending a warm invitation to be a driving force behind the success of the 63rd General Assembly. Bring your energy to the stage with an on-demand workshop, lecture, panel, or worship service that echoes the beats of the UUA’s mission – focusing on social justice, inclusivity, spiritual growth, and more.
Mark your calendars – the deadline for your program proposals is January 12, 2024. Your unique contributions are the catalyst for crafting an unforgettable GA experience for everyone involved. Big thanks for being a vital component in making “Love Unites, Stories Ignite” come alive at GA 2024!
Congregational Certification Period

The annual certification period for congregations has begun! Your congregation has through the end of business on Monday, February 5, 2024 to certify your current membership number and financial information from the previous fiscal year; review your congregation contact information and leaders and staff listing; and complete the diversity and congregational questionnaires. Certification is an essential set in determining Annual Program Fund (APF) requests, proportional delegates for elections and General Assembly, and to compile data about overall indicators and trends within Unitarian Universalism.
Register for 2024 Virtual General Assembly
GA registration is now open! Adult registration is $280, and includes access to General Assembly 2024 in the Whova event app, as well as on-demand programming, featured speakers, and major worships. Register through February 29 with a down payment of $50 by selecting the Early Bird Payment Plan at checkout. Voting delegates who wish to participate only in General Sessions may also register with the business-only option – this option is no-cost, but a donation is suggested. Registration rates increase March 1.
Business-Only Delegates
We have embraced the transformative power of technology and witnessed dynamic growth in our online community during GA, growing from an average of 60 online participants to as many as 4,900. We’ve also seen a more diverse delegate pool, including many first-timers. This may be, in part, due to the option of registering as a business-only participant. While that option requires no buy-in, there are still costs of livestreaming and maintaining our dedicated platform for delegates. Demand is high and qualified labor is short, which means that today’s price is even higher than in 2020. We ask for a minimum donation of $100 for business-only delegates as a starting point to offset expenses; however, congregations actually donate far less. In 2022, 215 of the 386 business-only delegates made no donation. In 2023, 386 of 538 made no donation. The average of donations received also fell short at $34.46 in 2022 and $45.26 in 2023. Please commit to filling all of your delegate seats for GA 2024 and also making a donation that enables us to have more inclusive participation and a better online experience. Your support truly makes a difference.
