Doing Hard, Wonderful, Meaningful Things Together: A Workshop on Consent, Boundaries, and Connection
Facilitated by Revs. Sunshine Wolfe, Sarah Gibb Millspaugh, and Sam Wilson, Saturday, November 8th from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
This interactive program will invite attendees to consider big questions when it comes to how to be in meaningful relationship within family, church, and societal communities. How do we navigate social connection in witness of the vast differences between us? What does consent look like in a society that is continually restricting who has rights? What does it mean to give a whole-hearted sacred yes to joy and wonder while maintaining boundaries and limits? The program will include small group conversation, case studies, presentation time, and activities. In this time, we will deepen together what it means to be human meaningfully as a church and beyond.
We invite all attendees to review this worksheet before Saturday morning. All attendees are encouraged to begin reading Empowered Boundaries: Speaking Truth, Setting Boundaries, and Inspiring Social Change by Cristien Storm. You do NOT need to finish the book or even start it to attend.
To register, complete the form HERE. If there is more than one participant in the household, please complete one form per participant. The form is blissfully short.
Be sure to bring a bag lunch and drink to the event!
