This year’s GA was a vibrant blend of familiar faces and new connections as we came together to celebrate, learn, and inspire change. We kicked off our dynamic programming by honoring the legacy of Marjorie Bowens-Wheatley, which set a powerful tone for the days ahead.
Our workshops, offered both in the morning and evening, were a hub of activity and engagement. We delved deep into discussions on abortion and abortion storytelling, sharing personal experiences and uplifting ways to destigmatize abortion in our communities. These sessions fostered meaningful connections and ignited new ideas for bringing congregations and communities together.
The abolition 101 and abolition storytelling workshops were equally impactful, as we explored ways to actively do abolition work and center justice in our everyday lives. The enthusiasm and passion of all participants were palpable, making each session a catalyst for change.
We love bringing fresh and exciting elements to General Assembly, and this year was no exception. As we wrap up our programming and head into our summer break, we’re already looking forward to next year’s GA in Baltimore. Stay tuned for more impactful events and initiatives once we resume!
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. See you next year in Baltimore!
