September 10, 2026 Minister’s Message

Aloha mai kakou,

Hoʻomaikaʻi!
on making it through Lala, Moke, and Lowell – 3 hurricanes /tropical storms in 3 weeks!
While we do not yet know the full extent of the damage on Kauai, it seems we here are a resilient people and ‘aina. Many of us have had power outages, no wifi, trees down, winds moving outdoor furniture and plants, some indoor damage, canceled meetings, revised menus, but we persist! All this, and I feel full of mahalo that I live here. I hope it is the same with you.

Calling all Artists!
Whatever your art, whether you make watercolors or mittens, spreadsheets or apricot spread, muffins or tend living plants– whatever your art, I would love to speak with you about your art and what it means to you. Perhaps you will be willing to join our Sept. 27th service, “Art and Soul”.

Thomas Delaine’s Surgery
Many of us were concerned about the complex surgery our former choir director Thomas endured on Tuesday. This is to let you know that though it was longer than expected, he came through it well.
