New Early Review Opportunity for UUA GA 2027 Business ProposalsThe Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) Board of Trustees is introducing a new opportunity for UUs to receive early feedback on proposed business resolutions and bylaw amendments for General Assembly 2027. Have a proposed business resolution or bylaw amendment you’d like the 2027 General Assembly to consider? Before you gather those signatures, bring us your developing proposal! The UUA Board is trying something new this year. From October 15 through November 15, 2026, UUs who plan to submit bylaw amendments or business resolutions can take advantage of a new, voluntary early review opportunity. This early review is an opportunity to identify potential governance or procedural questions, clarify language, and explore implementation considerations or related UUA work, all while there’s still time to make changes. This is a conversation, not an approval process or another hurdle. You retain the decision about whether to move forward, and the formal submission requirements remain unchanged, including the February 1, 2027, deadline. Whenever possible, we encourage you to seek early review before gathering formal congregational or individual support, making it easier to address questions before people endorse a particular version. Let’s work together to make your proposal clearer, stronger, and more effective. Bring us your idea before you gather those signatures! Learn more: |
