Side with Love Leaders Join Tending SOIL

Tending SOIL is Side with Love’s 6-month  leadership program to support congregational justice teams in building their capacity to faithfully and strategically engage in the transformation of the world through liberating Love.

Through SOIL, congregational or regional teams of 3-5 participants will strengthen their Skills, develop their Organizing Plan, practice Interdependence within and beyond their congregation, and deepen their understanding of Collective Liberation (ie, SOIL!)

Team Applications are due November 20th, 2026. The program runs January through August 2027. Join an information session to learn more!

Show Support for the Equal Rights Amendment

We are so, so close to having the Equal Rights Amendment stitched to the constitution and ERA coalition is working hard to make that happen within the first 100 days of the new Congress in 2027.

The Equal Rights Amendment will make discrimination based on sex illegal–whether you are woman, man, LGBTQ+ or a member of any other group of human beings demanding justice.

We pledge our belief in the Equal Rights Amendment: the 28th Amendment to our Constitution. Sex and gender equality is not a privilege for some; it is a right for all.

Connect With UUWF Resources

We’re making a change to how our community accesses UUWF resources! We’ll be transitioning away from our Mighty Networks space and moving toward a public resource library where members and the broader community can more easily explore and engage with our materials.

This shift reflects our commitment to making resources, learning opportunities, and tools for collective liberation more accessible.

We’re excited to create a more accessible home for UUWF resources and look forward to sharing more engaging content with you all.

We’re celebrating a special milestone in our UUWF community! Congratulations to QuianaDenae Perkins on their ministerial ordination!

As part of this celebration, a collection was held at their graduation in honor of Marjorie Bowens-Wheatley, with all donations benefiting the Marjorie Bowens-Wheatley Scholarship Fund.

Thank you to everyone who donated and to the UU Church of Ann Arbor for helping honor Marjorie Bowens-Wheatley’s legacy. Over $2,700 dollars were raised and these contributions will support scholarships for emerging BIPOC women+ leaders, helping them deepen their engagement in Unitarian Universalism and continue her legacy of leadership, service, and justice.

The Marjorie Bowens-Wheatley Scholarship is currently accepting applications and is awarded twice a year. Together, we can continue investing in the next generation of leaders and keeping Marjorie’s legacy alive.

Thank you and congratulations again!
