Kindness is often dismissed as politeness or sentiment, yet in Scripture, in Buddhist metta, and in Wheatley’s leadership work, it appears as a revolutionary force. In a Hawaiʻi strained by housing injustice and colonial wounds, radical kindness means more than being nice—it means practicing aloha that shares limited space, listens across difference, and refuses to abandon those most harmed. We will explore how everyday acts of mercy and kinship can sustain our island of sanity.
