Grieving Together
This Sunday we will hear about a practice of grieving together from Shi’a Islam. We’ll explore how we might learn to grieve together and what the power in that communal grief might be. We’ll consider this potential power especially in relation to thinking about what we can do to help stop the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
Alia Jeraj (she & they) is a Masters student at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, getting her degree in Asian Studies, focusing on an Islamic sung-poetry tradition from northern India.
