Limited-time Studio Site pricing makes Louisville more accessible
|
|
There are several pathways for participation at GA this year and we’re delighted to expand those even more. If you feel called to be at our Studio Site in Louisville, KY, to experience worship, community, and connection in a larger, shared space, these new cost-savings may help.
While the $350 GA registration rate still provides virtual access to all GA content, if you join us in Louisville you may now select the participation level that best aligns with your circumstances:
- $300 Standard Rate
Reflects the full value of the in-person Studio Site experience and helps support production, accessibility, and hospitality.
- $100 Community Rate
A reduced option for those seeking a more accessible price point.
- $0 Supported Rate
Available when you stay two or more nights at the Galt House.
Please choose the rate that is right for you. We appreciate your support and grace as we continue to reimagine and experiment with different engagement and registration models. We hope these efforts demonstrate our commitment to affording you flexibility and the opportunity to be present, reconnect, and help shape what comes next. |
Gather for GA on the West Coast
|
| For UUs on the West Coast, GA 2026 offers meaningful ways to gather closer to home while staying fully connected to the shared experience.
This year’s West Coast satellite sites include:
- Los Angeles, CA – First Unitarian Church of Los Angeles
- Walnut Creek, CA – Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church
- Salem, OR – Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem
These sites offer opportunities to experience worship, business sessions, Meet the Moment programming, and community in person with fellow UUs from your region.
Whether you are looking for the energy of gathering with others, a more accessible travel option, or a way to participate alongside neighboring congregations and clusters, these sites create space to be part of GA in community without traveling across the country.
Each host congregation is shaping its own local experience around the shared GA arc, with room for worship, connection, conversation, and regional relationship-building. It’s a chance to experience the best of both worlds: the larger movement-wide gathering and the warmth of local UU community.
This is also a wonderful opportunity to invite neighboring congregations, cluster partners, and UU friends who may be looking for a more regional way to participate this year.
If gathering in community on the West Coast feels like the right fit, now is a great time to make your plans and help spread the word.
Explore the West Coast satellite sites and choose the one that works best for you. |
Meet Rev. Verdis LeVar Robinson, our 2026 Worship Coordinator
|
|
Rev. Verdis LeVar Robinson (he/they) is helping shape the worship life of GA 2026 with deep experience in ministry, music, faith formation, and movement leadership.
Rev. Verdis currently serves as transitional minister of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation in New London, Connecticut. Their ministry has also included service as ministerial intern and staff at Unitarian Church of Montpelier from 2020–2023 and as Minister for Growth at First Unitarian Church of Rochester from 2023–2025. Ordained in 2023 by First Unitarian and First Universalist Churches of Rochester and UCM, Rev. Verdis brings a rich blend of ministry and musical leadership to this role.
Many across our faith may already know Rev. Verdis through their leadership in DRUUMM, including service on the Steering Committee as General Assembly Coordinator from 2022–2025, as well as through their involvement with AUUMM, BLUU, UUMA, the UU Christian Fellowship, the UUA Appointments Committee, and the UUA Fund for a Just Society. Their musical leadership is also deeply rooted, including serving as former director of the Montpelier Community Gospel Choir and as Choir Director for the 2025 General Assembly.
Rev. Verdis holds degrees from Meadville Lombard Theological School, SUNY University at Buffalo, SUNY Brockport University, and Boston University, bringing deep grounding in ministry, pedagogy, history, African American studies, and voice performance.
Their care, vision, and spirit are already helping shape worship throughout GA 2026, and we’re grateful for the leadership they bring to this shared experience. |
Welcoming our 2026 accompanist, Liz Ellsmore
|
|
We’re so glad to welcome Liz Ellsmore (she/her) as the 2026 GA accompanist.
Liz serves as music director at All Souls Unitarian Church in Indianapolis and brings a deep love of building community through music, something that feels especially meaningful as we prepare to gather for GA 2026. In addition to her work at All Souls, she is a staff pianist at Butler University and teaches private piano lessons. An Indiana native, Liz lives in Indianapolis with her husband and two children.
Her gifts as a collaborative musician and community builder will help shape the spirit of worship and shared song throughout GA, and we’re excited to have her musical leadership as part of this year’s experience. |
An Intro to the Business of General Assembly for Young People
|
| Please share this message with the young UUs (14-24) you know!
Are you curious about how our UU Association works and how you can be part of decision making? Hear directly from the Co-Moderators of the UUA Board of Trustees about why young people belong at the table of our Association’s decision making. In this interview, the Rev. Kimberly and Bill share ways that your voice and participation can make an impact. If you’re heading to General Assembly this summer, this is your invitation to show up, speak up, and help shape the future of Unitarian Universalism. |
Make the Most of Your GA Experience
|
|
GA’s shared core experiences bring us together as a faith community: business sessions, worship, featured speakers, the Ware Lecture, and Meet the Moment programming.
The midweek portion of GA is designed to be flexible and supportive of real life. It’s a chance to engage with the on-demand learning and live webinars in the GA EduCenter, meet with identity groups or professional organizations, schedule meetups in the GA app, connect in ways that are meaningful to you, or simply move through the week at your own pace after three days of business sessions. Think of it as a choose-your-own pathway that complements the core GA experience.
Browse the official GA programming schedule for business sessions, worship, featured speakers, the Ware Lecture, and Meet the Moment.
For additional learning opportunities available through the GA app, explore the GA EduCenter directory (PDF) where you’ll find live webinars and on-demand workshops. |
Six Ways to Participate in GA 2026
|
|
There are many ways to take part in General Assembly, depending on what works best for you and your community.
- You can join online from home and participate in live sessions as they happen.
- You can attend a Satellite Site, where a congregation hosts a shared local experience connected to GA programming.
- You can gather with others through a Community Gathering, whether that is a single watch party or a full weekend of shared participation.
- You can attend in person at the Studio Site at the Galt House in Louisville, the largest in-person gathering of the Assembly and the location where worship and major GA moments are produced and shared with participants everywhere.
- You can explore learning opportunities through live and on-demand programs in the EduCenter.
- Or you can combine approaches, joining live events when you can and watching recordings later.
There is no single right way to attend GA. Participate in the way that fits your schedule, energy, and community. |
