Art can move us and open our souls, whether witnessing or making it. Great art can grab our attention, touch us, provide revelation, and drive change. Some art has moved whole civilizations like the Bayeaux Tapestry, Guernica, the Vietnam Memorial, “Wall of Tears” (Gaza), Banksy’s 7 installations in Ukraine, and “Broken Spectre” multimedia dive into the Amazon. Making art, in all its forms, from baking a fine pie, to orchestrating a group project, to painting or sculpting or making lau Hala, we participate in creation. We will reflect on soul-moving art and hear from artists in our midst on their experience of soul in art.
