Resting Heartbeat
This week I am on sabbatical. The first half of this church year has held so, so much for so many of us. For a lot of us, it was like running a race or doing some other kind of strenuous activity. And like any kind of exercise or activity, rest is an essential part of maintaining our health and fitness for the future. Please know that as my spirit is calmed by the presence of my parents and as my soul sings along with the sounds of arcade games at Dave and Buster’s with my niece and nephew (well, maybe not singing exactly), my heart is preparing for the rest of the wonderful work we will do together this church year.
I look forward to seeing you all when I return. And I look forward to working together to build a more just and loving world, one heart at a time.
Blessings and Love,
Please enjoy a well-deserved vacation with your family, T.J.! Yes, R &R is so important, as you say.
I’m happy that you and your family are taking this time to be together! I agree with Jill ~ it’s well-deserved! May you find refreshment, rejuvenation, and fun! Looking forward to 2018 with you and everyone at FUCH!
Rest and have fun. So glad you are taking care of yourself. We miss you and look forward to your return. Aloha.
Wow, even this simple note you penned is inspiring. Thank you. Do enjoy your time with family. Aloha.
I am grateful for your thoughtful and embracing weekly missives.
