We Ride at Dawn | Last call to sponsor DRUUMM’s Public Worship - Archived
I’m writing as DRUUMM’s Community Minister to invite your partnership in supporting our 2026 Public Worship & Fundraiser, streaming live on Thursday, May 14, 2026. If you’ve already made a sponsorship pledge, please double check the list below and a heartfelt thank you!
This year’s service, “We Ride at Dawn: Showing Up, No Matter What,” is a call to collective responsibility. In a time marked by deep inequity, erasure, and spiritual fatigue, this worship is about choosing to show up anyway—for justice, for one another, and for the long work of liberation.
We are honored to welcome Rev. Summer Albayati as Guest Preacher and Rev. Verdis Levar Robinson as Music Minister—leaders who bring spiritual clarity, cultural grounding, and a deep commitment to transformative faith.
DRUUMM’s Public Worship is not just a service—it is a movement space. It is one of the special events, open to all, where we share our gifts as UU People of Color with the wider world. This is an opportunity to show visible solidarity with our multicultural ministry—and to materially support the leadership and resilience of Black, Indigenous and People of Color in Unitarian Universalism. To inspire, here is our 2025 and 2024 Orders of Celebration, and you can view past services at youtube.com/@druumm
This gathering is also our primary annual fundraiser. Your support sustains our chaplaincy and pastoral care, leadership development, and organizing across the country—and helps build what’s next, including our 2026 national conference (September 17–20 at Unity Village, Kansas City) and a new BIPOC UU history podcast to carry our stories forward.
We invite you to:
-
Publicly endorse and share the May 14 Public Worship with your community – this is a free event, open to all
-
Making a financial contribution at a level meaningful to your context
Sponsors will be recognized across our website, program materials, and social media, and will receive a recording of the service by mid-June with permission to rebroadcast.
We’ve already received a number of sponsorships and endorsements—if you’ve already submitted, thank you. That support matters more than we can say.
To be included, please complete our sponsorship form: bit.ly/druumm-2026
Deadline: April 15, 2026. If you need additional time, please reach out to noemi@druumm.org—we will do our best to include you. If you have any questions or want to be in conversation about how to engage, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
This is a moment to be visible about what we are aligned with—and who we are willing to show up for.
With faith,
Rev. Joseph Santos-Lyons
Community Minister, DRUUMM
