Reimagine Together: From An Extractive Age To A New Era

As you know by now, UU Ministry for Earth has been a primary organizer of this historic programming. Over 370 UU congregations are registered. And if you aren’t, don’t worry! You can host your Revival anytime. You can break up the resources and use them however it works for you.  Just register to get the needed materials. If your congregation needs funding support, limited mini-grants are available for those churches in need. Apply ASAP; fill out this form.

If your UU community is already participating…

Please check out this short video that covers all the resources and activities for the UU Climate Justice Revival Dialogue on Day 1.

We are excited that congregations will have the chance to “Understand their role in the interdependent ecosystem of creating climate justice and collective liberation.”  Pablo DeJesĂşs, Executive Director of UUs for Social Justice wrote a great post about collective liberation. Be sure to check it out!

We are excited that the Revival is grounded in UU spirituality with Love at the center. Instead of facts, figures, doom and gloom, the Revival calls into reimagining, joy, and offering what each of us have to offer instead of what feels like a “should”. Where does hope abide?  That’s one of the outcomes of the Revival!

We are excited for UUs all over the land to be revived for climate justice.

Remember!: You don’t have to hold your revival at a specific time—once you have registered you can hold it anytime.

Me2We2All – Self-organizing into Greater-Than:
Secrets from Nature for organizing and movement building
Hosted by UUSJ. Thursday, September 26 8pm ET| 7pm CT| 6pm MT| 5pm PT
RSVP: Online via Zoom
If you care about mobilizing for the 2024 election and movement building for a healthy democracy, join us for a thoughtful talk with Michael Lennon, Senior Fellow at George Washington University’s Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (CEPL), about what we can learn from Nature to inform our organizing and movement building for social justice.
Michael has been weaving knowledge threads from living systems sciences, technology and economics, in a portfolio he calls Me2We2All. Learn about “sensing in common,” shared salience maps, and learning edges. Hear how activists can use “signaling” to prototype new dialects of shared significance. Explore how to establish cadence between local experimentation and collective harmonization for broader movement-level impact.

Our own Rev. Kelly Dignan will provide theological grounding and will be lighting the chalice for this event!
