Resources from UU Ministry for EarthMusings Musings: Resources for Small Group Facilitation and Congregational Worship Musings testimonial from a constituent: “I am a member of LUUP,  a small UU community in Longmont, CO.  We enjoy using the Monthly Musings. It’s a wonderful resource for us. We use the ideas from the monthly Musing for both our services and our small group ministry. It’s an easy go to for service leaders to find just the “right” reading or quote. We also run a small group currently called Ergonomics of the Spirit. Rev. Teri Schwartz leads this monthly group using the materials from the Monthly Musing. Monthly Musing provides us with materials that are both spiritual in nature and rooted in works of justice.Thank you UU Ministry for the Earth for providing this valuable resource to us.” Take a look at our Musings archive. Inside each packet you’ll find Earth centered chalice lightings, music suggestions, readings, sermon prompts and small group ministry guides. There’s a Water Communion edition – perfect for this time of year! From Our PartnersSermon Contest UU Climate Justice Revival Sermon Contest Winners Imagine that it’s 2050 and we’ve achieved all of our wildest hopes for collective liberation. What is present in that re-imagined reality? What have our values led us to collectively abolish or move away from? How would our world transform if love was at the center of our climate actions and collective liberation were upheld as a uniting goal across all of the movement spaces that matter most?
With these questions in mind, the UU Climate Justice Revival planning team invited sermons that would ground us in this new reality. The number of submissions exceeded our expectations – evidence of the prophetic spirit and liberatory theology alive in our movement – and after much deliberation, we are proud to announce our sermon winners. UUMFE’s Rev. Kelly Dignan is a member of the sermon contest team and a primary leader of the Revival planning.
Learn more about each awardee and read their sermon. Recordings of each sermon will be available by September 5th. https://www.uuclimatejustice.org/sermon Facilitator Training UU Climate Justice Revival Facilitator Training August 29 at 4pm PT / 7pm ET Are you one of your congregation’s facilitators for the UU Climate Justice Revival?
