THE ROWE CENTER || FALL 2026 PROGRAMS CALENDAR

There’s a lot coming to Rowe this fall! From retreats and workshops to our Annual Meeting and two community work weeks, there are plenty of ways to connect with us in the months ahead. Here’s what’s on the calendar — we hope to see you at Rowe soon.

Labor Day Retreat

September 4 – 7, 2026

Welcome to the Rowe Labor Day Men’s Retreat community for men who love men, where every man is embraced, valued, and celebrated for who they are. Join us in a community of camaraderie, support, and joy.

Harmonize with the Ancestors

October 2 – 4, 2026

Join therapist, ancestral healing facilitator, and retreat leader Jessica Alejandro, LMFT, for a transformative weekend of healing, reflection, and restoration. Through the powerful lens of ancestral healing and family constellations, participants will explore both their maternal and paternal family lines to uncover inherited patterns, family traumas, and unconscious loyalties that may be influencing their lives today.

Creativity as Countermeasure

October 2 – 4, 2026 | NEW PRESENTER

What happens when we understand creativity as a potent mechanism for saying NO to the oppressive status quo – which opens the door to YES for something better? What is creativity and why does it matter, given the current state of the world and/or the current state of our personal lives? What can it move, heal, elevate, transform, prevent, end, or help?

How and why does our culture undermine it, and at what cost?

Join Western Mass. artist and creativity teacher Dana Wilde for a catalyzing weekend of exploring these questions together through lively conversations, guided writing & art activities, and more. Leave with a refreshed appreciation of your own and other’s creativity as a defining aspect of our humanity that must be brought from the sidelines to the forefront.  Space limited to 10 people.

Reflect & Refuel

October 2 – 4, 2026 | NEW PRESENTER

Reflect & Refuel will be a weekend of exploring through gentle movement, writing, and drawing to promote well-being and self-expression. By reflecting in a community setting and sharing your artwork, you will gain valuable insights into your life and your work. As a school social worker and a long time camp counselor, I have witnessed the passion and dedication educators of all kinds bring to their work. I have also witnessed burnout and compassion fatigue. We will use pastels, large format drawing paper, and notebooks to reflect and the goal of sharing your work is to refuel your passions in community. You will be served by this workshop if you want to bring arts into your education, mentoring, or therapeutic practice. You will be a good fit for this workshop if you are interested in learning more about the Tamalpa Institute’s visionary work and the potency of a multimodal arts approach that includes writing, drawing, and moving. This workshop is for anyone who is interested in bringing art into your life!

POZitive Impact

October 9-12, 2026

In 1985, as the HIV/AIDS crisis was terrorizing gay communities across the nation, The Rowe Center took the bold step of opening its doors and creating a public weekend for men who love men. Nearly four decades later, a great deal has changed. HIV, for many men, is no longer a death sentence but a manageable, chronic condition.

Fall Work Weeks/Weekends

September & October 2026

This fall we’re hosting two community work weeks/weekends — one in September and one in October — to help us get Rowe ready for the season ahead. If you’re interested in lending a hand, fill out our interest form and we’ll be in touch with dates and details.

We welcome volunteers year-round — fill out the form below and we’ll be in touch about the next opportunity.

MORE WAYS TO VISIT ROWE:

Rowe is available year-round for groups of all kinds. Whether you’re looking for a weekend away, a multi-day intensive, or just a space to gather your people, we’d love to host you.

Recent groups have included corporate and nonprofit staff retreats, family reunions and multi-generational gatherings, art creation weekends, student and university groups, and so much more. If you have a vision for a gathering, chances are we can make it work.

We also welcome individuals looking for time away. Personal retreats — whether for rest, reflection, creative work, or simply a few days of quiet in the mountains — are something we’re glad to support. Reach out and we’ll help you find the right fit.
