Students Organizing “March for Our Lives” – find out more here - Archived

To honor and support their peers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, students in Hawaii are organizing!

Students and parents/community members who support them can attend a planning meeting Sunday, March 18 at 4:30 pm at JABSOM in Room #304 – Medical Education Building in Kakaako. Free parking on the street.

March 24: “March for Our Lives” march on Washington and cities around the country –

The High School March For Our LIVES have a permit for gathering at Ala Moana Park for Saturday March 24.m The gathering will be in the large grassy area, Diamond Head of McCoy Pavilion.  This area can hold 450 people. Picnic areas 13, 14, 15, 16 will be used for gathering.
The permit also covers the area near the intersection of Piikoi and Ala Moana Blvd.

Some kids don’t have orange clothes or they must wear a school uniform. Imiloa Borland from Punahou and Hayden Hawkins from UH Lab school came up with an easy solution. They decided to make orange bandanas and headbands from orange fabric.
