Diverse Revolutionary Unitarian Universalist Multicultural Ministries
DRUUMM welcomes all Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Unitarian Universalists who identify as people of color. Let’s come together, with family and roots from around the world to explore diverse religious communities and build relationships with one another. DRUUMM is a space where BIPOC UUs can gather to
heal from oppression and receive support with self-determination as we negotiate the experience of being in a congregation that is not racially diverse (with all that entails) and work towards the anti-racist, anti-oppressive transformation of Unitarian Universalism.
On our website, you will see that our congregation has had a brief past connection with DRUUMM through Imiloa Borland. Imiloa was selected as the UUA’s National Youth of Color Coordinator at a past General Assembly and her impact resulted in her receiving a scholarship to attend DRUUMM’s annual meeting in New Jersey that same year.
We invite BIPOC members and friends of FUCH to meet and explore the idea of creating a DRUUMM chapter here at FUCH. If you identify as being BIPOC and are interested in receiving more information about DRUUMM please contact Allison Jacobs at alija.jacobs@gmail.com.
I’ll try to make your meetings
Thanks, Gloria. They will initially be held on Zoom.
