• Our congregation donated $1,163 to our June share the plate recipient, Hawaii Health and Harm Reduction Center.
• Our share the plate recipient organization for July is Pacific Gateway Center.
• Last chance to donate! During July we are collecting items for female comfort kits that are given by Planned Parenthood Hawaii to their clients. Here is a list of the items they need: socks (fuzzy or cushioned), heavy pads, disposable underwear, tea bags, mini lotions, mini hand sanitizers, heating pad patches. There will be a basket on the front entrance ledge for your donations. Let’s fill it up!

• Vote! Our Lives Depend on it! Friday, July 24, 2026 – 6-8 pm. Harris United Methodist Church, 20 S Vineyard Blvd. Attend in-person or streaming. The forum is aimed at deepening our political education on what fascism is, how we can effectively organize to win a world without fascists, and the steps we can take in our everyday lives to build a world where no one can be excluded or left wanting. Speakers touch on these topics with a focus on how the scapegoating of the “migrant” is core to fascist politics and how our embrace of the stranger can help us win a world for everyone. Click here to register.

• ICE Immigration Operation Observers: Rights & Best Practices: Sunday, August 9, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, UH Manoa (location available upon registration) – Training on rights and best practices for witnesses and observers in documenting federal immigration operations, e.g. ICE. Session will include a presentation and role-playing exercises. Training will be conducted by O‘ahu Rapid Response Coalition. Click here to register.
