-Are you looking for a service opportunity? Serving Aloha at Central Union Church, 1660 South Beretania Street, Honolulu, has been organizing food distribution weekly since October, but is in dire need of more volunteers to continue this service.
- ~35 volunteers needed for 2 hour shifts on Wednesdays between 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM. Even 1 hour of service would be helpful.
- Volunteers can direct traffic, pack bags with food, sign in guests, distribute food packages, and clean up at each Wednesday distribution.
- Partners are Aloha Harvest and Hawaii Food Bank. Strict COVID safety guidelines are followed at all times by checking volunteer’s temperature, providing gloves and masks, and distancing.
- Registration is not necessary but helpful. If possible, let the lead organizer Martha Balkin know in advance you’re coming: mecbalkin@gmail.comÂ
