“SIDE BY SIDE” SIDE BY SIDE AGAIN
Folk Music Reunion Concert

Washington DC folk music duo, “Side by Side” retired in 2015 with their sold out Aloha Concert. Now they reunite for a special concert in Honolulu!  Their Aloha Concert was supposed to be the last and yet, they will perform once again on Doris’s birthday, May 11!

Brought together by the music of John Denver and radio host Dick Cerri, Doris & Sean have performed together for over 30 years with a virtual “who’s who” of folk music.  Singing and playing guitars, they are celebrated for their close vocal harmonies and fun stage presence. They were the house band for the “Music Americana/World Folk Music Association Showcases (WFMA) from 1984 until retirement and were featured in all the Annual WFMA concerts which began in 1986.

Doris followed her lifelong dream and moved to Honolulu in 2016.  A mainstay of the DC folk scene as a concert performer, producer, coffeehouse regular, hostess of her own radio program and production manager of Cerri’s “Music Americana” program, she now performs at Kalakaua Gardens, Ohana Hale Marketplace and Growler USA. She is a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church choir and the HPU International Chorale.  Sean is a vocalist and guitarist with a quick wit and irreverent sense of humor.  A master of the 12-string guitar, he has been featured as one of the “Three Folk Tenors” and continues as a solo performer in the DC area.
