We enter this new congregational year at an exciting and tenuous time. We move from a brutally hot summer of climate catastrophes into a US Presidential election with human rights and democracy at stake up and down the ballot.

Equipped with the new statement of shared values we passed at the 2024 UUA General Assembly, we are challenged by our spiritual commitment to put LOVE at the center amidst this fear and polarization. Three ways our congregations are centering love for all—all people, all beings, this earth—are the Climate Justice Revivals, UU the Vote, and our Mosaic of anti-racist multicultural transformation.

Climate Justice Revivals!

As of this article’s writing, 73 congregations in the Pacific Western Region have scheduled and registered their participation in the UU Climate Justice Revival: Reimagine Together happening in or near the last weekend in September.

2024 Election Action!

Is your congregation involved in voting initiatives or wanting to be involved?  Connect with UU the Vote!  They provide training, connection to organizations, and targeted support to specific issues and voter turnout across the country. UU the Vote is supporting our values at the ballot box in two Pacific Western states in particular: Colorado and Arizona.
