Dear friends,
It’s time to stand up and be heard for pro-choice.
Please attend this rally on Friday at 11am, to support reproductive rights here in Hawaii.
The US Supreme Court has gutted our rights of reproductive choice. We are now entirely dependent on our state laws. Hawaii was one of the first states in the nation to legalize abortion, and that was great. But our laws are antiquated and we need to modernize our laws to truly protect choice. Bills will be introduced for this purpose later this month.
We know this issue galvanizes opponents of choice who show up in large numbers to oppose these efforts. They have succeeded in destroying choice in many states. We cannot be complacent about protecting rights here in Hawaii.
We need to show our elected leaders, in large numbers, that protecting the right of choice for all women and girls is the will of the people of our state.
Please show up for this rally if you can, and share this invitation widely with your networks.
Mahalo!
