Topic: June 28, 2020 ADORE (A Dialogue On Race and Ethnicity) group meeting starting at 11:30am with Waiting Room beginning at 11:15am.
You are invited to hear anthropologist and educator Jacquelyn A. Lewis -Harris, Ph.D. speak about her most current project in helping the community of Ferguson, Missouri to heal since the death of Michael Brown, Jr. in 2014. Since that time there have been many more deaths as well as the effects of COVID-19 on communities of color; her healing efforts are crucial.
Good preparation to do before the meeting:
*Login before the meeting starts to make sure your audio/visual is working. (see video camera and microphone icons, usually in the lower left corner of your screen)
*If using a cell phone, prop it up on something steady; moving around can be distracting to all.
*Make the area in back of you dark; if light streams in behind you, others can’t see your face.
*We will record to make later watching available.
