In-Person Worship on March 15, 2020 is CANCELLED - Archived

Dear Friends,

Over the past few days your Board and I have monitored conditions surrounding the spread and hopeful containment of the Covid-19 outbreak.

At this stage the Unitarian Universalist Association and the UU Ministers Association advise no church gatherings over 25 people take place.

Despite nuances many may see in our location and our perceived experienced impact on this island, this is a clear limit that is meant to meet our moral obligation to safely and conscientiously meet the needs of our people.

Your Board and I are meeting in earnest to determine the course forward for the coming weeks and please watch your email in the coming days for a farther reaching plan and response to the needs of our community and the wider community of which we are a part.

We may well have an on-line worship experience to tune in to on Sunday, but you will receive another email about that as well as a note on the church Facebook page.

Kindly monitor these media as you can for up-to-date information. Until then, please be safe and mindful of this very pressing concern.

Mahalo and be well, my friends.

Reverend T. J.
