When was the last time you broke bread during a worship service? Last Sunday, March 9, our greeters invited over 40 congregants to sit down at tables covered with brightly colored tablecloths while Rev. Dr. Greg guided us through small group conversations about the significance of community. During worship, congregants were served a delicious meal of beef or mushroom Stroganoff and fresh steamed broccoli, followed by Dutch apple pie and St. Patrick’s Day Oreo cookies! After the meal, congregants received personally addressed pledge letters and renewal cards. Many enthusiastically completed their pledge card on site. Laurel Zeri entered $25,000 in pledge renewals on the Lei Kakoʻo board. What a great beginning!
We give thanks to the many hands that made the pledge Sunday brunch–worship service possible through purchasing, preparing, setting up, cooking, serving, and cleaning up:
