Unitarian Universalist Association Virtual General Assembly in June 2021
MILWAUKEE SPOTLIGHT
Visit Milwaukee virtually! While we are unable to convene GA in Milwaukee, we will preserve our connection to Milwaukee through a series of programs we are calling “Milwaukee Spotlight.”
  • Draw the Circle Wide: On-Demand Worship – How do we draw a widening circle, affirming the inherent worth of all people, within, among, and beyond our congregations? Join us in this worship celebrating and exploring Unitarian Universalism’s power to build the Beloved Community through Milwaukee-area congregations’ stories of widening circles through anti-racist practices. Now available to view in either the GA Participation Portal or the GA App by Whova!
  • Milwaukee: A Case Study in the Hidden Impact of Segregation (Live Webinar) – Join us live on Wednesday, June 25 at 12:30 p.m. CT to learn about Milwaukee’s history of segregation as a case study on the hidden impact of segregation in this interactive workshop. The presenter is Reggie Jackson, noted Milwaukee speaker and diversity consultant and former Head Griot at America’s Black Holocaust Museum.
  • Spotlight on Building Healthy Communities (On-Demand Presentation) – Meet some of the creative artists, activists and organizations working to help Milwaukee, one of our country’s most segregated cities, heal and build healthy communities. Content: Nurturing peace after the Oak Creek Sikh Temple massacre, creating a community mural in the Sherman Park neighborhood after a police shooting, Milwaukee Strong, and more! Now available to view in either the GA Participation Portal or the GA App by Whova!
Meadville Lombard Theological School
JOIN THE MEADVILLE LOMBARD COMMUNITY
“Unitarian Universalist theological education should train religious professionals committed to working with lay leadership and community partners for the benefit of communal context, the parish outside the congregation’s walls. I see our work as Meadville Lombard Theological School to be one for the enrichment of those who are enrolled as students and the larger Unitarian Universalist community.”
— Dr. Elías Ortega, President
We cannot do this work alone. Join our Learning Community! To request information about admissions, contact us at YouBelong@meadville.edu.
