Aloha. For the safety of all attending worship service and events, vaccination & boosters are urged for those who are eligible, and masks are strongly recommended.
We are inviting proposals from worship leaders: ministers, religious educators, musicians, lay leaders, UU organizations, and/or congregations with experience and capabilities to self-produce a high-quality, 30 to 45 minute, fully pre-recorded video presentation of a complete worship service (including music). These Daily Worship Gatherings will be broadcast to GA registrants at one of three times – Thursday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m. CDT; Friday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m. CDT; or Saturday, June 26 at 10:00 a.m. CDT. The videos will also be available to GA registrants for on-demand viewing thereafter. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance the overall worship experience for GA attendees. The proposal deadline is February 26.
Since the pandemic began, where have you been attending virtual services?
VOLUNTEER POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Volunteering is a great way to engage and interact with other UUs during GA. Volunteers contribute about 20 hours of work, including training, and are eligible to receive complimentary GA registration.
Visit our webpage for all of the available volunteer positions and links to the application.
LAST CALL: DEADLINE FOR CONGREGATIONS TO CERTIFY IS FEBRUARY 17
All congregations must file for certification by February 17 in order to be certified for GA. Only certified congregations may send voting delegates to the General Assembly. Credentials will be available for distribution in March.
If you haven’t registered for Virtual GA 2021 already, there is no better time than right now! Registered attendees are among the first to hear program announcements, such as the Ware Lecturer and featured speakers, and only registered attendees will have access to the NEW! GA app (coming soon). So register early to join online discussions, familiarize yourself with the GA schedule, and find your place in our community of communities.
In last week’s announcement welcoming 2021 GA Choir Director Susan T. Mashiyama, we erroneously stated that Susan is with the Berkeley Fellowship of UUs (BFUU). Susan was previously the Music Director at BFUU but is now a Musician at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Berkeley.
