Our dear friend and former member Joan Schumacher passed last week Friday. Below is her obituary from the Honolulu Star Advertiser:

“Joan Schumacher, 92, passed away peacefully on September 18 at Windward Senior Home in Kaneohe, where she had lived since the passing of her beloved husband, David Barry Friedman, in late May. Joan is lovingly remembered by her children, Guy Brand and David, Laura, and Steve Markham, her grandchildren Amanda, Eli, Kyle, and Alice, as well as her great-grandchildren, Max, Preston and Kyle Jr.

“Joan felt deeply cherished and celebrated by her many friends and extended community during the celebration of life held in honor of David in June. In keeping with her wishes, a private family gathering for the interment of her ashes will be held at a later date.”
