“My Faith Journey”

Come listen to Terry Robinson as he shares his faith journey that led him to Unitarian Universalist during this month’s Interfaith Conversations.

Terry was born in Ontario Canada (baptized Anglican) and immigrated with his parents to USA. He grew up in Warren, Michigan (confirmed Evangelical & Reformed- UCC). He attended Adrian College (United Methodist). He graduated from University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 1970. He became Unitarian Universalist in 1968 just before marrying Barbara Baldwin at the Oklahoma City VA chapel by Baptist Chaplain.

Terry did his internship and dermatology residency at Philadelphia Naval Hospital/University of Pennsylvania. He served as Chief of Dermatology service at Pearl Harbor 1974-1977. He was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at three medical schools and Tripler Army Medical Center. He had active duty Army as Chief of Dermatology at Landstuhl (Germany) Army General Hospital then at Fort Knox, KY with retirement in 1993.

After retirement from the Army, Terry and Barbara traveled extensively, including all the newly elected Wonders of the World. In 2005 he entered Starr King School for Ministry, graduating in 2008. He was ordained into the Unitarian Universalist Ministry in on his Father’s 100th birthday August 8, 2008 at the age of 64. He has preached in 16 pulpits (including the Virgin Islands for a summer) since.
