2021 Faith Action Investment Drive
Report Prepared by Kiki Mills, Faith Action Community Organizer
This year’s annual Investment Drive took place from August 1st through September 30th. Now that all the investments from our Unit and Corporate Campaigns have been received and accounted for, we are excited to announce the final totals for the 2021 Investment Drive!
Steering Committee members (a.k.a. unit representatives) spearheaded campaign efforts within their respective units. Collectively, our member units raised a total of $17,940 in investments from individuals (89.6% of our 20k goal). Frontrunners of the 2021 Unit Campaign were Church of the Crossroads, UCC, led by Unit Representative, Liz Nelson; Central Union Church, led by Unit Representative, Evy Hao; and Keolumana United Methodist Church, led by Unit Representative, Deanna Espinas. Thank you for your commitment to equity and social justice on Oahu, and congratulations on a job well done!
A small but mighty team of Faith Action board members and staff set out to reach their Corporate Campaign goal of $80,000. They met with seven corporations and received investments from four: Kamehameha Schools, Ecumenical Association for Housing (EAH), Bank of Hawaii, and Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA). The Corporate Campaign raised a total amount of $32,500! Way to go, team!
The total amount raised this year was $50,440. Mahalo to everyone who made an investment during the 2021 Investment Drive, and a very special thanks to the Steering Committee, Board of Directors, and Faith Action staff members who worked hard to secure those investments!
