Caring for Creation: Come to the Vigil

By Susan Gorman-Chang, Environmental Justice task Force Chair

The 26th United Nations Climate Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland has ended.  As people of faith, we must continue to focus on healing our earth and caring for all living things.  We must keep our national and local leaders committed to doing the same.

As a way to sustain that caring, Faith Action’s Environmental Justice Task Force will hold a Climate Vigil on Friday, December 17, 2021, 4:00-5:00 PM at the Hawaii State Capitol.  We invite Faith Action members and their family and friends to come and stand with us.

We will share readings, songs, and posters, and hold up candles as a visual reminder of the reality of climate change and the responsibility of people of faith to protect, guard, and steward the gifts of Creation.

Faith Action unit representatives, please find members to attend. Signify your favorite event or thought of the season through a poster, a color, an object, a short saying, etc.
