What Does It Mean to “Get Ready”?
|
So, what do we do? In recent staff and board meetings, we have begun to explore this question–and so far, we keep coming back to Getting Ready.
“Get Ready” for what?
Get ready to help those who need to flee–by building safety networks
Get ready to help ourselves or our community members if blindsided by lost jobs, lost programs, lost health care, lost safety net services–by forming and strengthening cross-community connections
Get ready to do things we don’t know about now but trust will emerge, by optimizing and prioritizing our emotional, mental, spiritual and physical health to endure sustained resistance
Get ready to imagine, debate, and build a new way by being trained in conflict resolution, strategic community collaboration, grassroots organizing, civil disobedience

We are excited to bring the SACReD Curriculum to our membership. SACReD’s (the Spiritual Alliance of Communities for Reproductive Dignity) mission is to empower congregations to become loving, justice-seeking faith communities that fully support the fulfillment of reproductive moral agency and flourishing for all. The SACReD curriculum is a seven-part workshop series that aims to deepen our individual and collective understanding of the connection between faith, racism, and reproductive ethics, and to identify strategies and actions for liberation within religious communities and the larger world.

For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.
|
We’re back with our SECOND annual International Women’s Day Celebration. This collaboration between UU Women’s Federation and the International Convocation od UU Women brings together a global look at how we can care for women and girls.
Uplifting the key points of the UN’s proposal, we will offer our online communities a vibrant program filled with song, spoken word, calls to action, and community grounding. We will hear from feminist voices from around the globe, centering on the most marginalized, and lead from an intersectional lens. Join us as we take time to renew our commitments to women, girls, and gender justice.
