Donations, Ticket Sales, Volunteers… The MEB Needs It All - Archived

You might have heard that our main fundraiser for this year, The Middle Eastern Bazaar (MEB) will be Saturday, March 23, 4:00 to 8:00 pm.

Bring your children. They are free and so is childcare. Bring your friends. Bring your sense of wonder as the Church will be transformed into the Middle Eastern Bazaar as Aladdin may have experienced it.

You may have heard that you will experience tantalizing food and beverages, fascinating, personal tarot card readings (at a small extra cost), auctions galore, a raffle and entertainment featuring Master Storyteller, Jeff Gere and his Arabian Nights Shadow Puppet Show.

All proceeds will be used to fulfill our Commitment: to Boldly Grow Compassion, Justice and Joy within our Faith Community and throughout our Hawaii Ohana.

To make this happen, we need your help.

DONATIONS: We will have a Live Auction, a Service Auction and a Silent Auction. We can use everything from baked goods, to art objects, to trips, to house cleaning, to hosting a meal, etc. Be Creative. CONTACT: Catherine Graham, 808-741-4317;

TICKET SALES: Stop by the table in the Church every Sunday, to pick up your MEB Tickets. We are asking every Pledging Unit to buy/sell at least 3 tickets. The tickets are $45 each or 3 or more for $40 each. CONTACT: Sue Yamane Carpenter, 808-258-8968;

 Stone Soup – what a great model for getting a big job done with little effort on the part of lots of people!  Let’s do a BIG fundraiser for our UU Church using this model.  Everyone does a small bit.  Please check where/how you can help.
