The Board…
- Created a task force to investigate local options to compare with the UUA’s Hope For Us program and report back to the Board in time for the May Board Meeting.
The team is composed of Dan and Sue Yamane-Carpenter, Mary McKay, Kristin Witcher and Juliet Begley.
- Heard that the Stewardship Committee has set a Pledge Drive Kick-Off for April 21. All board members were asked to pledge before then.
We hope everyone will attend the Kick-Off luncheon after church on April 21st.
- Reviewed notes from last Sunday’s “Talk Story” session and agreed to publish them in next week’s newsletter.
Topics included the Black Lives Matter banner and our current financial status.
- Thanked several volunteers for their service and dedication as they step down from their roles.
The Social Justice Council and Hospitality and Aesthetics Committees will be seeking new members.
- Confirmed Karen Fothergill will be one of our two delegates to the General Assembly this year.

Heard REPORTS from all areas of church life:
- Current financial reports point to less reserve borrowing than budgeted. Yay!
- Membership is hosting a New Member Social Friday evening April 12 from 5-7pm.
- Facilities is still awaiting new security cameras for the exterior of the building.
- A.D.O.R.E. hosted a successful movie and potato bar event.
- Personnel hired a second childcare provider and has a viable candidate for choir director.
- Nominating Committee is still seeking candidates for the Board for 2024-25.
- Social Justice Council reported that the UUA disaster relief funds are tapped out.
- Minister highlighted the many visitors we are welcoming and is considering a monthly drop-in info session in addition to the formal pathway to membership. Sunday worship attendance was up again in March with an average of 5 more attendees per service over February. Easter attendance was 83. Adult RE was very active in March with 87 participants involved across 5 different offerings.Â
