Hope for Us Program
Mahalo to Catherine Graham and Juliet Begley for putting together a scrumptious lunch for our public showing of the Hope For Us introductory video by Rev Sarah Millspaugh. Â After the video, there was a question and answer session about the cost of the program and some details about the program format.
The estimated cost of the program is $30,000 based on an estimate of 300 staff hours over the next year. Â The actual cost to the church community would be around $20,000 due to the application of funds from the UUA/Regional office. Â The Board would release monies from a donor-restricted fund that focuses on spiritual development to pay for the program.
The cost is an estimate. Hope for Us will only bill us for the time and materials expenses that we incur.  We are not obligated to “finish” the program if we find that the program is not helping our congregation learn to deal with conflict in a healthy way. The Hope for Us onsite training comes in the week of Nov 17-24, the week prior to Thanksgiving.  More information to follow.
