CHURCH WORK PARTY – Sat, Feb 7, 2:00 – 5:00 pm
We love work parties!  This is one of the best places to get to know one another as we work together to make our building and grounds look and feel better.  A sign-up sheet with a list of maintenance items will be circulating at the Feb 1 townhall. Here’s a list of what we will tackle:
  • Outdoor items – Rack up and bag leaf debris around the building and under hedges, pull vines from hedges surrounding the building and perimeter, breakdown and bag cardboard piled up in the trash area, wash trash area,  clean low brick/tile wall in back by the Gallery, remark parking lines, window washing.
  • Indoor items – Window washing, clean chairs, check seams in gallery and sunroom curtains and mend, tidy up kitchen pantry, wash refrigerator shelves and drawers, move large desk from office to outside for pickup, move cubby and music file cabinets into office

Molly will bring her famous chocolate chip cookies and snacks and beverages, and yes, there will be beer and wine. . . !

Who’s in the Monkey Suit?

Kitchen repair work continues. The kitchen ceiling began to peel this summer. Dan Carpenter and Pierre Kleiber decided to investigate. They set up the scaffold and removed the kitchen plywood panels in the ceiling where earlier repairs had been made. It does not look like a water or waste line leak. (Yay!) The current thinking is shower water escapes the shower curtain in the apartment above, soaks the floor, and slowly moves into the kitchen ceiling. A vent and access panel have been installed to improve ceiling airflow and simplify inspection. So, who’s in the monkey suit??? Dan or Pierre?

Sue is working on scraping.  The next step is to prime and repaint.  Any volunteers?  In love face outline with solid fill
