Dear AUUMM Membership,
In Executive Session at its November 20, 2023 meeting and at the recommendation of the President, the AUUMM Board voted to place AUUMM’s President, DeReau Farrar, on administrative leave effective immediately and to be reassessed at the Board’s February 1, 2024 meeting. Ongoing professional and personal challenges have made it impossible for DeReau to serve the organization as fully as is necessary to sustain our work for the present time. In his absence, the Board has voted to appoint Jen Hayman to hold the role of Acting President concurrently with her role as Secretary. Your prayers and support for DeReau, Jen, our transitioning Board, and AUUMM are very much appreciated. And know that we appreciate you trusting us to lead this organization in ways that we believe will help to secure its healthy and dynamic future.
