April 26, 2020 ADORE (A Dialogue On Race and Ethnicity) meeting - Archived

As mentioned in previous Weekly Newsletters, the April 26th ADORE (A Dialogue On Race and Ethnicity) meeting will be presented as racial justice workshop entitled, “Brainwashed by Whiteness: Transforming Our Racialized Mindsets.” Nancy Rogene, Ph.D. and her colleague Amaranta Colindres will be presenting this very insightful, awareness-raising workshop via Zoom from Oregon.  Please see the zoom meeting login information below.

The meeting waiting room will open at 11:00am. PLEASE LOGIN BY 11:15AM IN ORDER TO TEST IF YOUR AUDIO (MICROPHONE) AND VIDEO CAMERA ARE WORKING. (Look for the video/audio icons which will probably be on the lower left or right hand corner of your screens.)  The host, Jill Rabinov, will begin admitting people to the meeting at that time. The actual meeting will start at 11:30am and will run until 2:00pm, followed by some unofficial time for chatting with Nancy and Amaranta afterward.  Following are some important set up points:

  1. If using a digital phone, it it is useful to prop it up with a book or another object so that it will be fixed and steady.
  2. If able, make the area behind you dark (close curtains, etc.). If light is streaming from behind you in the video, others will not be able to see your face.
  3. Please have available drawing paper and pen or pencil.
  4. The meeting will be recorded so you will be able to watch it later if you are not able to participate on April 26th.

Jill Rabinov is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
