Dear Friends,

Our British Unitarian colleagues have passed an emergency motion to express their solidarity with Westminster Quaker Meeting and Quakers in Britain following police arrests of during a peaceful meeting last week in London. I encourage you to read their statement. The UUA Global Connections Office affirms the demand for religious liberty and the sanctity of houses of worship. In February, the Unitarian Universalist Association joined a lawsuit challenging Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) “sensitive locations policy.” Churches (along with schools and hospitals) had previously been protected from the agency’s enforcement actions, but a Department of Homeland Security memo rescinded that protection on January 20.

In these times we are grateful to be part of this global community with each of you.

In Solidarity,

Rev. Morgan McLean
