A Message from Your Board of Directors

To allow for long-term planning while remaining flexible in the current environment of rapid and significant COVID-19 related change, your Board has unanimously agreed to the following changes in operations:

  • We will plan for the possibility of virtual operations through May 2021 with periodic reassessments.
  • We have extended Rev. T.J.’s ministerial agreement from three-quarter time to full time starting July 1, 2020 and he is “delighted to accept.”

We recognize these are changes that may be met with mixed emotions and opinions.  Please take a deep breath.  We are open to answering questions and hearing from you. To accomplish this, we are offering several talk session options.

Evening sessions with Congregation Vice President Jim Cooper hosting:

  • Monday, June 1st @ 6pm
  • Thursday, June 4th @ 6pm
  • Zoom Link & details are the same for both evenings.

On Friday, June 5th at Coffee Time @ 10am, Rev. T.J. will answer questions and share his perspective. To attend, use the Coffee Time ZOOM link.

We see our care for the well-being and safety of our members, staff and community as the priority during this pandemic. Our decisions were not entered into lightly nor without significant discussion and review of science and experience based, COVID-19 related, resource materials.

We ask that you read and consider some of these materials as you prepare to attend the virtual gatherings.  See resource links below.

We recognize that adjusting to the new reality we are living in is creating heartbreak and, for some, deep sorrow.  At the same time, we believe the foundation of our congregation is strong. The combination of our talented staff and your offers to serve in new and creative ways will allow us to both weather this storm and find ways to thrive.

Yours in love and gratitude,

Carla Allison, Congregation President
Jim Cooper, Vice President
Michael Mottl, Treasurer
Laurel Zeri, Secretary
Directors Allison Jacobs, Troy Underbrink and Rachel Compton
