The First Unitarian Church of Honolulu, aligned with our UU values, recognizes and acknowledges white supremacy and condemns the idea of supremacy of one kind of person over another.  We commit to:

1. Condemn all forms of racism and expressions of intolerance that are contradictory to our Unitarian Universalist values.
2. Advocate for social justice and equality by declaring with moral certainty that notions of racial superiority are antithetical to our common humanity.
3. Be accomplices for our collective liberation in solidarity with politically targeted and vulnerable groups: Women, Black, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, Muslim/Southeast Asian, LGBTQ, People of Color, Workers, Students, and Immigrants.
4. Oppose policies and practices that do not support equality and that dehumanize and denigrate people of color, women, LGBTQ, and the poor.
5. Call upon our elected and appointed officials to delegitimize racist institutions and fight for a fair economy that refuses to pit communities against each other.
6. Acknowledge that Native Hawaiians do not have control over some of their most sacred spaces and are deeply affected by white supremacy.
7. Publicly disavow white supremacy by offering a counter-narrative and model leadership that supports racial justice and economic justice—in society at large and in our UU congregation— by individually and collectively being in relationship with oppressed and marginalized people.
8. Publicly disavow white supremacy by opening/sharing positions of power and leadership with oppressed and marginalized people.
