This 2 ½ day workshop is open to anyone who wants to journey toward making a stand against racism.
Church members and church leaders of any faith, as well as non-church members, are all welcome!
Our Goals are:
→ To develop a shared analysis of racism and its individual, institutional, and cultural manifestations and
→ To begin to apply this common understanding to the history, culture, and institutional structure of our society, and to envision the next steps in taking action.
The training includes presentations, discussions, videos, exercises, small group work.
Agenda Topics Include:→ The history of racism and resistance to racism in the Americas
→ The look of racism in Hawaii
→ Defining racism
→ The effects of racism on people of color and on white people
→ Dismantling racism
→ Claiming and shaping an anti-racist identity

Come join us as we deepen our understanding of how race and ethnicity play out in our institutions and our daily lives. Jubilee Anti-Racism Training helps participants understand what is involved in nurturing a multicultural community and working against racism in all of its forms. It requires a weekend commitment and many people have said it is a life changing event.
WHEN: Thursday, November 9th (6:00pm to 10:00pm); Friday, November 10th (8:30am to 9:00pm); Saturday, November 11th (8:30am to 5:00pm)
The group is limited to 45 participants, so sign up early to save your place!
FEE: $165 per participant (includes the cost of trainers, six meals, and materials).
The fee may be paid by credit card by choosing “A.D.O.R.E” and entering $165.00 on the form here.
